How do you know your skin is good? Do you understand your skin and the importance of maintaining a healthy skin care regime in your life? Your skin is constantly growing, old cells die and new cells form. Your skin can never be replaced and it takes the longest time to heal from any damage. If you have noticed your skin protects your body from harmful bacteria that you get exposed to daily. Your skin also produces Vitamin D when in contact with the sun rays, and Vitamin D plays a vital role in many bodily functions. Some of the most common skin care products are: Moisturizer, Cleanser, Sunscreen and Toner. Let’s find out if any or all of these skin care products are good for your skin type:

Dry skin

A dry skin looks dull, has invisible pores and has vivid visible lines.

Many studies have shown that moisturizers work wonderfully well for dry skins. For dry skins, one must use a heavy cream for faster absorption. The basic disadvantage of dry skins is its tendency towards wrinkles, and in this case, one must use some affordable and good quality moisturizer.

Oily skin

An oily skin secretes oil and has large pores.

For people having oily skin should use more of water soluble cleansers at least twice a day. You just have to give yourself a gentle massage of the cleanser on your face for half a minute. Many dermatologists reckon using wax and oil free cleansers for oily skins.

Normal Skin

A normal skin may have little oiliness and dryness. Pores on the face are not very invisible and are not also very obvious.

If you have a normal skin type then you really don’t have to take extensive care as others who either have dry or oily skins. However to take general care of your skin, you should use a moisturizer with sunscreen of SPF30. Your daily skin care products should involve a cleanser and a moisturizer.

Combination Skin

A combination skin type faces the sorrow and pleasure of both (dry and oily skin types) at the same time.

If you have a combination skin type then it is advised to choose your products wisely.  Using a good quality cleanser is highly recommended for this skin type. A sunscreen is a must for people having combination skin type. It is ideal to use toners that have healthy ingredients and not typical alcohol and citrus oils in it.

Sensitive Skin

A sensitive skin type has lower levels of tolerance and is considered more delicate than normal skin types.

A couple of skin care products that a sensitive skin type should carry are cleanser in the form of gels or foams, pore reducing products having natural ingredients, a good moisturizer and sunscreen of SPF 30. In a nutshell, even if you have the world’s best skin, you should still use a cleanser and a moisturizer that suits your skin type and never ever leave home without wearing a sunscreen of at least SPF 30. Taking good care of your skin will ensure long term benefits in your health; you will notice your skin to be cleaner, fresher and healthier.
